Missing Volumes 3 & 4 of Les Miserables Vol's are numbered consecutively as a set and also individually, Printed in the private press style i.e. top edge gilt, full green cloth, elaborate decorative gilt stamping on spine (now pretty evenly darkened) and covers (still bright) ruled with floriate designs. hand-numbered ltd. edition 919/1000 copies, signed by publisher, title-page in orange and black, wide margins, laid deckle-edge paper (many unopened), each volume has a tissue-guarded frontispiece richly printed on japanese vellum. Set is clean with crisp pages, bindings are tight, one or two volumes have lightly bumped or rubbed corners, but there is no fraying or previous owner's marks.
