4to, blue cloth gilt spine titles. Looking at the covers you would think this book was much more recent. Mar'd on the front pastedown by two strip marks, (probably a bookplate was removed) above it has three lines of text and a small discard stamp above that some even toning to the rear endpaper and a couple of chips and tears along the edge of the title-page, 205 and 207 have two tiny closed tears o/w text block is fresh throughout. Bottom and foredge uncut frontis with tissue-guard 017984
