NY 1957 Hardcover Very Good + No Dustwrapper A Volume in the Collector's Series in Science. Large 4to in slipcase, backed in brown cloth with marbled paper over the boards, Title-page is a facsimile of the original with engraved frontispiece, and is printed in brown and black ink, Text blockis printed on laid paper, textual illustrations. there are two pages at tha back of the book that have long thin flat creases from the printing process, all text is clear and legible. the front and rear hinges have been expertly glued as they had opened. Otherwise tight clean near fine copy. The slipcase is illustrated with the frontipihas some toning and a little dampstaining on the top edge. A fascinating look at the brth of science. Facsimile of the London 1658 edition. The book contains many passages of particular interest in the history of science.
