London 1855 First Edition Hardcover Very Good No Dustwrapper 8 8vo volumes/ The Annotated Edition of the English Poets. In orignal binding which is patterened paper over the boards with paper spine labels, there is some splitting, and tearing to the outer edges, but the text blocks are generally bright throughout. The Annotated Edition of the English Poets was issued in 29 Numbers (London: John W. Parker and Son, 1854-57) 8 of which were dedicated to the works of Chaucer. It has extensive critical commentary throughout. 020083

London 1917 Hard Cover Very Good 23/50 hand-numbered copies. Royal 8vo, backed in cream vellum with gilt spine titles (a little evenly rubbed, or aged) brown cloth over the bds. Some toning on endpapers and bumping to two board tips. Internals genrally fine. Bosschere's wit, wisdom, and art. Scarce. printed on handmade deckle-edge paper paper. London 1857 Hardcover Good 3 8vo volumes in contemprary period 34 green calf skin binding. Vols 1 & 3 have nearly half of the spine strip missing. Former owner bookplate on the front pastedowns. The inner hinges are exposed but have been experty tightened inside and out, *I covered just the seam with a thin layer of archival wheat paste, re-enforcing the hinge so with proper handling the covers will remain attached. Backings are tight. 318pp; 303pp, 20pp, & 296pp 202215

Edinburgh - London 1816 Hardcover Very Good + No Dustwrapper as Issued 3 small 8vo volumes in contemporary 3/4 leather bindings with gilt ruling. Backed in brown calf & over the board tips as well, with marbled paper over the boards. Previous owner's armorial bookplate on the front pastedowns and a couple of stamps that say: 'Grant's Library EDINr.'. and rubbing through the top grain at just the board tips. Otherwise in excellent condition given their age. The only real issue is that the leather spine labels have mostly chipped off. See scans. Occasional toning but generally fresh throughout with the backing & hinges still tight and the bindings having only minor rubbing to the extremities.Ribbon page-markers remain in place. 336pp 348pp 372pp 202172
